Stefanos Ioannou – Tonmeister (M. Mus.)

My passion for the art of classical music production has always accompanied me. My early musical education included lessons in piano and clarinet, and later I also sang in various choirs. From 2016 to 2021, I completed my studies in Tonmeister (Music Production and Sound Engineering) at the renowned Erich Thienhaus Institute of the Detmold University of Music, deepening my understanding of music and audio recording.

Since 2019, I have been working as a freelance recording producer and sound engineer for renowned labels, broadcasters, and independent musicians and ensembles (see References). Additionally, since 2021, I have been employed as a Tonmeister at Südwestrundfunk (SWR) in Stuttgart, where I am responsible for the sound design of CD productions, radio broadcasts, and concert recordings. From solo instruments to orchestral ensembles, and from Renaissance to contemporary music, I am always excited to work on diverse and interesting projects.
