Binaural Examples

Please use headphones to listen to the following examples. The audio files are high quality .wav files, so they might need some time to load.

Here are some examples of recordings using binaural technology. The first example is „À peine défigurée“ from Poulenc’s Sept  Chansons for choir. It is recorded in a church. In the binaural version you are really immersed in the sound. This creates a sense of hyper realism, especially compared to stereo.

The following example is a recording of the Voliere from „The Carneval of the Animals“. Here the flute (bird) flies around in circles over the head of the listener, while the other instruments are positioned around the listener.
