The aim of every recording is to capture the emotion of the music and evoke the same emotions in the listener. As a studied Tonmeister I not only work to achieve a technically flawless recording, but also support the musicians in getting the most convincing expression of their interpretation. Once everything has been recorded, I combine the best takes into a coherent performance. Then I take the musicians’ comments into consideration and incorporate them into the recording. Finally, the recording is mastered according to the demands of the publishing medium.

The technology itself should never be perceived. For this reason I rely on the best microphones and preamplifiers by manufacturers such as Neumann, Sennheiser, RME and MOTU. The recording and editing takes place in Sequoia.
